The Amazing Race Season 37 Episode 10

In Episode 10 of The Amazing Race Season 37, titled “Up the River Without a Joust”, the remaining five teams embarked on a challenging leg through Strasbourg, France, culminating in the elimination of one duo.
Leg Overview: Germany to France
The episode commenced with teams flying to Frankfurt, Germany, followed by a train journey to Strasbourg, France. Upon arrival, they drove to the Palace of Europe, where they had to recall and list four Council of Europe member countries they had previously visited: Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, and France. Correct answers granted them the next clue directing them to Ponts Couverts. Head-to-Head: Water Jousting
At Ponts Couverts, teams faced a unique combined Roadblock and Head-to-Head challenge: water jousting on the River Ill. One member from each team competed to knock their opponent into the water using a lance. Winners advanced immediately, while losers awaited the next challenger. The last team without a win, Brett and Mark, incurred a 10-minute penalty.
Cheese Identification Challenge
Next, teams proceeded to La Cloche à Fromage, where they memorized nine types of French cheese and then identified them outside the restaurant. Alyssa and Josiah opted to use their Express Pass here, bypassing the task.
Detour: Out to Dry or For the Birds
Teams then chose between two Detour options:
Out to Dry: Washing a tub of dirty laundry in the river.
For the Birds: Constructing a stork nest.
While some teams completed their tasks efficiently, others faced challenges, including redoing tasks due to missed details.
Pit Stop: Table d’Orientation
The leg concluded at the Table d’Orientation in Scherwiller. Carson and Jack secured first place, earning a five-night trip to Helsinki, Finland. They were followed by Alyssa and Josiah in second, Jonathan and Ana in third, and Han and Holden in fourth. Brett and Mark, after navigation issues and the earlier penalty, arrived last and were eliminated.
Final Four Teams: Advancing to the Finale
With Brett and Mark’s departure, the final four teams competing for the $1 million prize are:
Carson McCalley & Jack Dodge: Best friends and Dungeons & Dragons streamers.
Alyssa & Josiah Borden: Married nurses
Jonathan & Ana Towns: Married couple.
Han & Holden Nguyen: Siblings and the youngest competitors this season.
The two-part finale of The Amazing Race Season 37 is scheduled to air on CBS on May 14 and 15. Stay tuned next Wednesday and Thursday to see who will take home the Amazing Race Season 37 win and a million dollars.
