The Amazing Race Season 37 Episode 6

In Episode 6 of The Amazing Race Season 37, titled “It Smells Like the Desert,” the eight remaining teams continued their journey in Dubai, facing a series of challenging tasks that tested their skills and determination.​

Fast Forward Challenge: At the onset, teams were presented with the opportunity to undertake a Fast Forward, allowing them to skip all remaining tasks and proceed directly to the Pit Stop. Brett & Mark seized this chance, which involved skydiving over the city of Dubai. Successfully completing the Fast Forward, they headed straight to the Pit Stop at the Museum of the Future, securing a first-place finish. ​

Detour: The remaining teams faced a Detour with two options: “Spice of Life” or “Gold Souk.”​

Spice of Life: Teams had to navigate the bustling spice market to locate and purchase a specific combination of spices.​

Gold Souk: Teams searched the renowned Gold Souk for a jewelry store, where they had to calculate the value of a gold item based on its weight and the current market price.​

Most teams opted for “Spice of Life,” finding the task straightforward, while a few chose “Gold Souk,” which proved more time-consuming due to the complex calculations involved. ​

Roadblock: After the Detour, teams proceeded to a Roadblock titled “Who’s ready to ride a wave?” In this challenge, one team member had to successfully ride a hydrofoil past three buoys: getting on their feet by the second buoy and riding to the third. Han, Josiah, and Jonathan were among the participants. Han completed the task on her first attempt, allowing her team to advance quickly. ​

Placements: The teams arrived at the Pit Stop in the following order:​

Pops & Jeff​

Elimination: Father and son duo, Pops & Jeff, arrived last at the Pit Stop and were eliminated from the race. Their journey ended after struggling with the hydrofoil Roadblock and missing a crucial metro train, which allowed other teams to surpass them. ​
